Part-Time Accounting Assistant

About the Position: The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the VP of Finance and Accounting Specialists, assisting with the day-to-day accounting and clerical tasks that support the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Sends invoices, customer statements, and collection notices to customers.
• Prepares and sends out credit reference letters for new customers.
• Reconciles AP vendor statements and sends out remittance advice on payments.
• Research price variances between purchase orders and AP invoices.
• Assists with customer and vendor account setup and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook and Excel).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting a plus.
• One (1) year of practical bookkeeping or related accounting work experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay Range: $16 – $18hr (commensurate with experience)

Position Type:  Part Time (20 – 25hrs a week)
